New Balance Goes To Futuristic Heights

Running shoes have been taken to new, futuristic heights with the launch of the New Balance, new Zante Generate, the very first 3D printed running shoes. The Boston based active-wear brand has partnered with 3D systems, an innovative South Carolina based company to produce just 44 pairs of these cutting edge shoes.  

The ‘out of this world’ midsoles created using DuraForm TPU Elastomer- AKA a super fancy laser printer to create the lust worthy design. The 3D printing comes into play in the midsole; it’s what makes the cool, intricate honeycomb pattern “Our unique position as both a manufacturer and retailer allows us to bring the world’s first 3D-printed running midsole to market,” says New Balance president and CEO Robert DeMartini. “The Zante Generate demonstrates the strength of New Balance design and innovation and will allow consumers to own a piece of running technology history.”
