Hi guys, Josh from Sportitude here and today we have a review on the Blackroll Recovery Pillow. Blackroll were kind enough to send me this product roughly a month ago and let me tell you I had some fun playing with this stuff at home.

It’s a pillow that can easily travel with you. It comes packaged in carrier bag so you can put it inside your carry-on luggage if you have enough space and also pack it easily enough in your suitcase if you’re flying or driving to an event.

A good night sleep before an event is crucial. For example, if you’re travelling interstate like I did this year to the Noosa triathlon. For me sleep is key. If I can get half a decent sleep, I wake up feeling so much better and no surprises there I bet you’re the same at home.

Blackroll have designed a pillow that you can travel with. As I said, it comes in this little carry bag. It has a Velcro tab you can undo and rolls out very nicely. You might think it’s going to be extremely flat which it will be when it’s packed, but it’s packed with a memory foam.

Blackroll have designed a pillow with an ergonomic design for your head and neck. As you touch it, you’ll feel a cereal bowl-like cut out. If you sleep on your back, this cutaway wraps around your head. If you’re a side sleeper which I am the majority of the time, you can tuck your shoulder underneath and it compresses down into that hole. A front sleeper, the person that sleeps on their tummy and turns their head on the side, can rest inside that hole as well.

The beautiful thing about this pillow is it’s not only a travel pillow. I used it for all my sleeps at home for a couple of nights before I went away because I didn’t want to take the pillow away and not know what I was reviewing. My wife was fighting me for it. She wanted to know what this thing was all about. I gave her a go and she had a phenomenal night’s sleep.

It’s almost a pillow you could use as a everyday pillow at home, not only your travel pillow. When we do travel we want to know when we bring our product home, whether it’s clothes or pillows or anything like that, that we can wash it because we don’t know what germs we are going to pick up on the plane or hotel room we’ve just stayed at.

Blackroll have got a zip on the pillow that allows you to take the cover off and it is machine washable. I’m going to take the cover off to show you how easy it is to do. Unzip the case, pop this memory pillow pack out and throw the cover in the washing machine. There is washing instructions on the tag as well to give you an idea how to take care of it.

This is going to show you what the memory foam is all about. I said before about that ergonomic design. You can see that cutaway, that’s where your head sits if you’re on your back, side or tummy where you tip your head to the side.

It is so light, so soft and insanely comfortable. Memory foams are being used across a lot of products but for a pillow it’s fantastic. When you compress it, it pops up to its normal size with the memory foam technology.

There you have it guys, that is the Blackroll travel pillow. It's a great product and one that I will continue to use from this day forward.
