Hello guys, Josh here from Sportitude.

I’m here to talk to you today about the new Copa 17.1, brand spanking new boot in the range this year for 2017.

This little cracker is a jet. For those traditional soccer players out there or AFL players that know the Copa Mundial and know it well it’s been around for, well before I was born. I don’t want to talk about my age but it’s been around for a while now.

The Copa 17.1 is taking that classic look, classic feeling footy boot and putting it on a modern structure and design.

Looking underneath the plate it almost looks like the World Cup version with that graphic that they had underneath the boot. But the World Cup version was on a soft turf platform which only had six sprig configuration.

This guy is designed for firmer grounds. You can see you've got the four sprigs at the back and you’ve got seven sprigs through the forefoot. It's fantastic on the firmer pitches.

Weight is amazing. It’s a little bit heavier. The traditional Copa Mundial plate we’ve had in the past in store is lovely. It feels fantastic when you go long because it’s got the kangaroo leather upper. However, when you’re running and turning your legs over as much as the modern player does today, having that extra weight isn’t that great.

You want that fit and feel on top. You want it when you’re kicking the football, trapping the soccer ball and passing your one-touch player.

The kangaroo leather upper in the forefoot is magnificent. Putting it on a lightweight plate takes this boot to another level. What we’re looking at is a bit like some of the Asics boots in the sense that it has a slightly lower external heel counter, allowing your foot to get that customised fit through the back.

It’s got the long tongue and you might look at that and think ‘no way in the world would I play with that', but it does fold over.

On the inside it’s got a sleeve, sock-like upper. This ensures the upper and tongue don't slip down the side one game and avoids the frustration of having to pull it back to the middle.

This little guy here is going to give you a bootie like feel. It’s tremendous, a fantastic design feature. When you put your foot in there it stays secure, not only with the kangaroo leather in the forefoot but that bootie construction. That’s about it for this little Copa 17.1, which is the kangaroo leather version.

Cracking boot, get it on your foot!
