Event Details
The Flinders Ranges Outback Epic will follow the Flinders By Bike Route and start and Finish at Wilpena Pound Resort. The Epic 205 is 205km long and must be finished in 16 hours or less. Riders not ready for this challenge can choose the Epic 109 (109km) or Epic 64 (64km), or enter a team of 2-4 riders who will complete the Epic 205 relay style.
1. ENTRY FEES:
a. Epic 205 Individual – $190/person
b. Epic 205 Relay Team – $200/team of 2-4 people
c. Epic 109 – $120/person
d. Epic 64 – $75/person
2. WHAT’S INCLUDED
a. The Flinders Ranges Outback Epic mountain bike race experience.
b. Flinders Ranges By Bike fees, normally $35 per person
c. Water at specific locations on the course
3. AGES:
a. All ages are taken as of 31/12/18.
b. All riders must be aged 14 years or older.
4. All riders must have EMERGENCY SUPPORT monitoring their progress. You will be asked for their details at registration. Riders can share EMERGENCY SUPPORT. You can nominate "Race Administration" but must accept these personnel will not be able to respond as quickly to help you as your own emergency support can.
5. The RACE SCHEDULE has been calculated to have all Flinders Ranges Outback Epic 205 riders finish within 16 hours.
a. The RACE SCHEDULE time cutoffs for the Epic 205 apply to all riders in all events and categories.
b. Riders will be officially withdrawn from the race if they fall behind the RACE SCHEDULE as measured at any of the 5 mid-route TIMING POINTS.
c. If this happens, riders must be collected by their EMERGENCY SUPPORT
