Building A Bikini Body In Winter According To Isabella Ashleigh

by Sportitude

We all know that summer bodies are made in winter (in theory) but when the rainy days outnumber the sunny ones, it becomes increasingly hard to get up and dominate the gym. Then there are those mornings you are scrolling through Instagram and come across an account that delivers a serious dose of inspiration and motivates you to put on those runners and dominate. You can thank Isabella Ashleigh for doing just that…

Combining a love for all things health, fitness, and lifestyle with a chic and laid back approach to style, Isabella represents a new wave of #fitspo innovators with a distinctly luxe edge. With a background in fashion and dedicated fitness routine, Isabella knows a thing or two about keeping girls motivated and on track. Here she shares her tips on creating that enviable figure …

What is your exercise philosophy?

Make an effort to be active every day - even if it’s only 10 minutes in the morning, doing a few yoga stretches or a quick weights set. Maintain a routine.

Can you share with us your typical weekly fitness routine?

I wake up at 6am and do a home yoga, pilates or weights session ranging from 10 minutes to 30 minutes on weekdays and 45min to an hour on the weekends. If I do a 10 min session one day, I will try and do a longer session the following day.

What is your go to exercise to tone your arms?

Push-ups, dips & weights.

What is your go-to exercise for those washboard abs?

Sit-ups, sit-ups, sit-ups! and pilates ab workouts (core strength exercises) along the way help as well.

Best exercise to tone the legs? Squats and mountain climbers (and leg press at the gym).

How long ahead of summer should we commit to a fitness regime?

You should commit to 10 minutes every day, all year round - Maintain the routine!!

How often should we be exercising to see results?

In my own personal experience, when I am exercising a little bit every single day for a week or two, I start to see my body changing (especially if I am focusing on building a specific muscle group e.g the BUTT! :))

What is your approach to skincare?

Always take your makeup off at the end of the day and moisturise every night before bed!

What is your go to Spa Treatment?

A massage in Bali :)

What is your go to body scrub?

Frank Body. I’ve bought and tried all of their scrub products and they are all amazing (and delicious smelling).

Body moisturiser you can’t live without? Vaseline intensive care cocoa radiant lotion. Omg, smells so good.
